My favourite shop for an advanced DIYer like me.
I regularly go there, this week it was paint and a new cistern, they have a good range of quality products to choose from where I found everything I needed.
I usually attend with my small dog, an ESA and have never had any issues.
My favourite staff are a lady who knows where Everything is and a nice guy called john who happily explains my options after I explained my task.
Easy parking but it does get busy.

Bathroom disaster. AVOID Zero stars. I purchased a new bathroom which was completed in January 2022. I experienced a number of issues which the fitter corrected except one major issue. The tiled bathroom floor. The tiles are sinking and squeaking underfoot. Large cracks and holes have appeared in the grout. The original fitter has disappeared off the face of the earth and turning to Wickes to put the matter right has been a total failure. The original fitter was not happy because Wickes did not pay them for replacing a faulty shower, which had to be replaced twice! They have sent endless people to my home to verify the inadequately fitted floor. I have submitted more photos than I can count of the problem. There is no accountability. I have been passed from person to person and team to team. On several occasions they emailed me to find out the status of the complaint because they simply lost track of their own systems. They have put pressure on me to diagnose what is wrong with the floor and what should be done to fix it. I have sent them more photos than I can count. There must be 100 plus email on the issue Their corrective action team have repeatedly refused my claim for the repair despite the fact that I am making a legitimate claim within the guarantee. The final straw now is that I managed to get in touch with a manager who seemed to be helping me. This person assured me what my options are and also that the corrective work would be done according the option I have chosen. They admitted their systems had failed me but assured me my choice would be respected. Yesterday to my shock the person changed their mind and reduced their offer to a limited repair that is not in keeping with my original design. The bathroom cost approximately £12000 and came with a 2 year workmanship guarantee not worth the piece of paper it is written on. I have no choice now but to take my claim to independent ADR. This will no doubt give Wickes the breathing space they desire to continue to do nothing. If you get a good contractor and no issues, then Wickes are ok. However, if you get a bad contractor and the repair is extensive, as in my case, Wickes will give you the run around and eventually leave you out in the cold. I was foolish enough to get a second bathroom done by Wickes. The contractor was good but when the cistern and shower failed after a few weeks Wickes dragged their feet as usual. I would NEVER use them again. AVOID in my opinion. I have no words to describe how awful my experience has been. I can only hope that ADR will find in my favour. Don't pay their inflated prices for guarantees that are worthless. A very miserable customer. UPDATE - I forgot to mention in my review that Wickes does this thing whereby they respond to negative reviews saying how sorry they are and asking the disgruntled customer to get in touch. It's just performative. I have been fooled by this routine on many occasions. I will not be comforted by such empty words and gestures any longer. My eyes are wide open. My only hope now is that the independent adjudicator rules in my favour and if so the decision will be binding on Wickes.

Good location and store, range: terrible customer service / staff attitude initially today on a return: assistant tried to send me to Wimbledon!!!… (no idea why) even the duty manager had a “not possible”
attitude: but eventually processing my return and a purchase.
Painful and frustrating experience. Back to Homebase or B&Q I think…

I've started an investigation with the Ombudsman because of Wickes.

Do not buy a bathroom from them. Their contractor installed my bathroom and due to poor workmanship the waste pipe from the toilet leaked to my downstairs neighbour every time it was flushed causing damage. I was only made aware of this due to the damage it caused my neighbour overtime.

Same contractor came out to fix the leak but made no mention of getting the mouldy plasterboard replaced under my warranty, therefore mould has been sitting inside the plasterboard for years.

Wickes are refusing to help, which has resulted in me going to the Ombudsman.

Popped in and booked an appointment for someone to come have a look at my bathroom on Friday evening. The day before, "Nick from Wickes" calls to check all is still good, and I mention we might be interested in doing the kitchen too at some point. He says not to worry, he's happy to measure that up too.
The next day he arrives and is super thorough, clearly knows his stuff, and is full of great ideas. He spends a decent amount of time going over details for both kitchen and bathroom. We had an appointment the next day to go over the bathroom but he asks if we can come a bit earlier and then we can have the time to talk about the kitchen too. Sounds good.

Nick the superstar had left our place at about 8pm Friday, and by 9am Saturday the next day when we arrived he had complete plans and fully rendered visualisations for BOTH kitchen and bathroom! He'd got into work early and sorted everything for us. Bearing in mind we had also been to various other places to get quotes and while they were fine, not one other person has come close to being this helpful.

Now that we had all of the structure sorted, we then spent a couple of hours working out colour/style/accessories/appliances and before I knew it, he'd sorted our dream kitchen and bathroom, and worked out a cost spot on with our budget expectations. It was a no-brainer to put the deposit down then and there!

Cannot fault the service. Completely took the stress out of everything. It's yet to be installed but will update. So far incredibly impressed

Bought fence panels from this store and rang the main customer services to deal with problem. Basically they were worse than useless and unhelpful. Went back the this store and the managers could not be more helpful. They saw immediately that the panels were not fit for purpose and refunded. Thank goodness for sensible people.

So disappointed with their delivery service.
I was told my items will be delivered between 10-4 via text, waited all day for it. I called Wickes and I was told there was an attempted delivery at 3pm and there is a picture of the intercom?!

No one rang the bell or called as stated on the text message from Wickes which actually says the driver will call en route.

Wickes expects you to wait 6 hours outside your falt/house to recieve your delivery ☹️.
