My mom and I went in to look for a mother of the bride dress today, and amazingly we found one on the clearance rack for sale for only $100! Definitely worth making the trip, especially if you don’t know what you are looking for yet. I was honestly more worried about finding a dress for my mom than finding my own wedding dress, and I am so happy we decided to pop in! The owner was very attentive, knowledgeable, and it felt like she was very honest and was looking out for us (aka not just trying to sell us the most expensive dresses like some gown shops might). I will definitely be coming back the next time I need a formal gown!

I don't know if i'm just lucky or if Kristin, the owner, is actually some sort of sorceress because I have been to the Showroom twice - first time, in 2023, I spent about 30 minutes on my own trying dresses on, super overwhelmed and no luck, but Kristen assists me and literally the first dress she pulled was absolute magic and what I went with! Well, YESTERDAY I went in, thank god Kristin was there again - I showed her some images of a character i'm dressing inspired by for the Nashville Fantasy Ball, along with my shoes and once again - IMMEDIATELY the first dress we pulled was it, we just decided that dress in a different color after taking into account the shoes. IDK how she does it, like I said, magic or something, but I have never had such a great experience at a high end place. Truly. Felt so welcomed and taken care of and excited to try on fancy gowns vs the usual of feeling stressed and overwhelmed.

TL;DR The owner is a magical being who if you just talk to for like two minutes will somehow just know exactly what you need for your event, saving you endless hours of searching and feeling like you are a goddess in such dress. THANK YOU SO MUCH KRISTIN!

I was really hoping this place would be as size inclusive as they said they were but that was not the case. I strongly advise against going there if you are above a size 12 and want to have a good rest of your day. While the ladies were nice and somewhat helpful, they only have a handful of dresses in the mid-plus size range. The gag of it all- they are big puffy tulle dresses because god forbid we show our bodies off! Again, the workers were nice enough and it is not necessarily their fault, but it was overall incredibly disappointing. I will not be back.

MEAN GIRLS vibe anyone? I just stopped in yesterday looking for a formal gown for an upcoming gala. When you first walk in, the shop is very aesthetically pleasing. I walked up to counter for assistance and after saying what i was looking for and mentioning my size (14) I was given a point and told " 14 and up gowns are on the racks over there" and pretty much was on my own after that. For something of this nature I would think that someone would be by your side helping, offering opinions, looking for dresses for my figure, etc. There was little selection for sizes 14/16 and there were lots of non plus/curvy sizes in the section where they should not have been. Many of the dresses I looked at/tried on were dirty, holes/tears, missing rhinestones/beads, etc and looking at the prices they were charging for retail and rental for the quality/poor condition some of these pieces were in was laughable. I went to ask another associate for help and she couldn't be bothered. I'm not sure if it was the general vibe of the place to be stuffy and pretentious or if it maybe were due to me not being a size 4. As for someone who has over 15 years of experience on both sides of the retail register, I was super unimpressed and will be taking my money elsewhere. **updated* I went to a small business 10 min up the road and walked in and within 2 minutes my partner was offered a chair in front of the fitting room, and I was handed 4 dresses after asked for color preferences and the lady taking one look at me and knew my sizes instantly. THIS is the service one should expect and I was more than happy to give them my business and RAVE review! 🙂

We are from NJ and were only in the area for 1.5 days on the way to bring our daughter to LSU for her freshman year. As it happens, she realized she needed a cocktail dress for rush week. We stopped into The Showroom after visiting 6 other stores and we are so happy we did! The store is beautifully set up with an extensive selection of stylish, current, and high quality cocktail, party and formal dresses. Many of the dresses can also be rented, which is a fantastic option you don’t usually see. Kristin, the owner, was so helpful and nice despite my daughters and I coming in 20 minutes to closing time. She went above and beyond to help her and to our relief, she ended up finding a perfect dress for the occasion. We could not be happier with our experience. I highly recommend The Showroom and hopefully with have a chance to visit again in the future. Thank you, Kristin - geaux tigers!

It's not much cheaper to rent a formal, but the dresses were hot quality. Once I got some help, the staff was very helpful. There are a lot of different colors styles of dresses.
