Late last year I walked into Home Depot design center to get some ideas on tile as I was planning to do a kitchen remodel. I had an idea in my head as to what I wanted my kitchen to look like but I didn’t know where to start. I had previously been ghosted by a designer and a few contractors so I decided to give it a go on my own. After a few minutes I was approached by Christina Robinson, a designer with Home Depot Design, who had an appointment cancellation and had some time available to assist me. Within half hour she put together a presentation for me based on what I was looking for. She is absolutely amazing at what she does! Within a few weeks, I had a complete design presentation prepared by Christina. Carissa drew up the blueprints and I was astounded by her expertise.

A few months later demolition began. Project manager Issac Uribe was on top of everything, answering all questions and concerns. He made himself available at any time and came to our house immediately if we had any concerns. He is very professional, on time and extremely knowledgeable in all areas of construction. He is definitely an asset to Home Depot Design Center. Even after the remodel wrapped up, Isaac came over a few times to help us with a few minor issues.

I have included a few before and after pictures just to show the remarkable work that this team completed in my house. I look forward to working with them on my master bathroom.

I ordered all my bathroom fixtures from Home Depot design center this year around April and guess what. Bathtub come in three time with cracked damaged, vanity was damaged twice, tiles was damaged as well, my contractor had to wait for almost month to get replacement. Finally . The Toto toilet I spent more than $1000 dollars come in without damage , surprise ? after we opened the box. We found out it was return by other customers item, the previous customer information and invoice still located inside the packaging box , the manufacturer manual was cutting into tow separate pieces. Due to the my contractor schedule we really run out of time, so I had to use someone ‘s returning toilet!!
This is my experience with HDDC. You figure it out Will you use them as your next project provider or not

We spent 7k on 2 bathroom vanities with the Home Depot design center. The vanities showed up with damage all over them and we cannot use them. It’s been over a week and I’m getting the run around from supervisors at the design center and they are holding onto our money and aren’t coming to pick up the damaged cabinets that we cannot use. This is holding up our project and causing a lot of stress. It seems everyone is continually out of the office. And they don’t return calls and emails. I wouldn’t recommend this business.

Our experience at the Home Depot Design Center was exceptional! Our designer, Mary Silva, was knowledgeable, friendly and was persistent in finding exactly what we wanted and needed. I certainly wish we had gone there sooner. We visited every major appliance venue in San Diego, and some smaller ones. We would find one piece at different locations and that made it difficult to compare. Home Depot Design Center had every model on each appliance we needed..... the ability to compare side by side was invaluable. Mary's expertise guided us to our decisions. We are satisfied and confident we made the best choices. And the pricing was a great surprise! Having all our appliances coming from one store simplifies the process. Mary was able to schedule our deliveries within the timeline we needed. Best of all, I love having a personal contact as our process moves forward. I am not expecting any problems, but knowing Mary is a phone call away is refreshing!! Thank you to Mary Silva!

If three stars is average, then The Home Depot Design Center gets a maximum of two stars. Because my project manager Michael Castillo was apathetic and extremely uncommunicative, they get one star. I would give ZERO STARS if I could. I would highly encourage anyone else to choose another company/team to handle your design and renovation needs because the whole experience was underwhelming with everyone on their teams seemed to be overworked or just apathetic.

The choices are too limited, the project managers are overseeing too many projects at one time to provide excellent deliverables to each one, and construction takes way too long, mainly caused by too many items requiring remove and replace (damaged upon delivery).

One simple wall of cabinetry took from May 2024 - August 2024, a total of four months!! As I write this, our project is still unfinished as we are waiting for a floating shelf to arrive (the box that arrived already was the wrong item). This ineptitude is completely unacceptable, and I will never do business here again. Lowe's for life!

Terrible place to go. Do not waste your money on the design center. You will never get your appliances installed, and they keep your money for Weeks or months. So they can draw interest on your meney.
Spent $22000 on appliances. Ended up canceling Home depot design center and going through build Ferguson's Appliances.
Home depot design center should not even get one star.They should get zero.
