Disappointing!!
£26 to spend most of the time wandering past 'artisan' food and craft stalls.
Two tents, one for the amateur growers the other for the pros and flower arrangements. I say flower arrangements, one was simply a display of empty, painted boxes.
The fruit and veg was mostly a few bits on a paper plate.
We were done in about 90 mins and that included stopping for a coffee.
The flower display along Rotten Row was superior!

Well done Southport. What a fantastic flower show. I thought it was far better than Harrogate. A great mix of stalls. Food stalls. Beautiful show gardens. There was entertainment on everywhere. Parking was close by. A superb day out. I will definitely be coming back next year.

Although this event is on for a few days I was there for the last day on Sunday. We opted for the VIP package which was a private parking area, 3 course meal with bottled water on the table, pastries from 10.00am in the VIP marquee and access to the main stage. The show itself is excellent and well laid out within Victoria Park which is near to the town centre and seafront. There are exhibitions throughout the day from cooking celebrities and a dog show in the main arena, plus trade stall scattered throughout the park selling food, alcohol, gifts and clothing. Flowers galore, trees and shrubs and an abundance of vegetables. At 4pm on the last day they sell off all the flowers so be sure to check out that. I stayed over at the Royal Clifton hotel and left after the show ended. Will definitely be going next year as it was my first time. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Lovely displays of flowers, gardens etc, lots to see and watch. Some of the judges comments appeared very harsh and rude. Good day out

If you are at all interested in gardening then Southport flower show is the perfect place to indulge. So much to see, from the wonderful variety of plant and flower displays in the tents to food and drink stalls and celebrity demonstrations. Marvelous. A real treat.

Lots of sales booths for food as well as flowers. Not nearly enough seating around the site and especially in the food tent. It was like grab a chair if you can. There should at least be an orderly queue or a ticket system for tables. Also a lot of older people would appreciate somewhere to sit at points around the site. Also a long way between toilets. In spite of nearly falling down tired because of lack of seating I did enjoy the show.

I haven't been to the show since the late 70s when I was 12 or so. Apart from no Red Arrows, White Helmets or Horse Jumping it is just as I remember...a great British day out ! I went with my daughter, niece, sister and Mum and we had a fabulous time. The highlights were chatting with the Bee keepers and watching the gundog demonstration...oh and of course the flowers and gardens ! I will definitely be going next year.?
