We hired Val in late 2022 to help us redesign our awkward bathroom. She helped us with the new configuration, tiles and samples, and picking out details with design and measurements. Happy with the configuration and choices for some features/amenities.

It was great until we got to the remodel in 2023. The measurements she included in the documents were incorrect and we purchased all the items she recommended and it seems like she missed details. For example, she suggested tall faucets but didn’t account for the length of it, how far the vanity needed to be from the faucet, etc. We ended up wasting $2,000 purchasing LED mirrors she suggested but they were too big and didn’t account for faucet length. By the time we mounted them, returning them was impossible. Additionally, she recommended we purchase chrome hardware for the shower while the vanities had matte black. It did not look good and we ended up getting all matte black and re doing that part. Just expecting a bit more attention to details from a designer.

My recommendation: measure twice and don’t just buy everything recommended.
