The tile options are fantastic and they have great cool options. When you come in they are really helpful about 50% of the time. The customer service drops off quickly. Tile was late, then wrong, hard to get a call back or who you were dealing with etc. I give the tile 4 to 5 stars and the service 1 star then settled for a generous 3.

I went shopping for kitchen tile and hardware at Modern Home Design Showroom in Palm Springs yesterday and had the fortunate experience to work with Deno Ferraro . Smart, sharp , creative , knowledgable, he asks all the right questions and helped narrow down the choices with my kitchen needs. I value his opinion and taste level very much . A true pro ! I'm not one to give reviews , but I felt compelled to acknowledge his talents and kind demeanor after I left the shop . A solid go to source , I will be contacting Deno for other projects going forward . I suggest you do as well, hence this review .

My wife and I stopped by mid last week to check out the flooring selection and we just wanted to browse as we still have some time to plan reno on our vacation home. As soon as this gentleman found out we were browsing, his tone of voice and attitude changed, customer service went from 10 to 0. We had several questions and kept getting short answers without any clear response, kept going back to his colleague and talking about their weekend.
It is unfortunate as my wife liked some of their items.
Taking my business else where they are appreciated.

We started working with Mark Anthony at Modern Home and ordered a Caesar Stone counter top for a kitchen renovation. The bad part was that the installer did a very poor job--twice. The good part is that from the moment we told Mark Anthony and the owner Mark Davis of our displeasure, they were on our side and took responsibility to make it right for us. A second (wonderful) installer was engaged by Modern Home and he and his team delivered to us the product that we had hoped for and that we knew we would get from Modern Home.

I'll tell you the thing that impressed us the most--and largely because Palm Springs is not an easy place to find reliable and responsible resources for home renovations--is the level of courteous, professional, responsible customer service of these two men. Designer Mark Anthony immediately saw that there was a problem with the installation and said it would be made right (even coming to our home on his Sunday day off to inspect it), and owner/designer Mark Davis said the words that meant more than anything when he saw the first results: "I am so sorry you've had to go through this." When was the last time you heard that? I recommend Modern Home Design Showroom and also thank them.

I stopped in at Modern Home about a year ago, as I was contemplating some renovations, and was immediately impressed not only with their selection of products covering just about everything you would ever need, but also the staff. I've been working with in-house designer Ron Surgen for the last few months and recently completed two bathroom renovations and a major kitchen/main room renovation that turned out stunning. Except for appliances (although Ron helped me get a good deal on those too), I acquired all my materials through Modern Home - cabinetry, tile, hardware, etc. - and the quality is exceptional (with a good range of price points to suit your budget). And working with Ron has been great. He offers straight-talk design guidance, and whenever I start thinking about a product or color/finish, he can pinpoint something in the store immediately for me to look at. They've also got great partnerships with installers/contractors who do high-quality work. If you're contemplating any home renovations in the Coachella Valley, I strongly recommend you check out Modern Home. You won't need to go anywhere else.
