Took 2 turkeys last week to smoke for Christmas party. I called on Monday and they told me that they were in the smoker. I told them good because I needed them by Friday. Told me no problem. Went to pick them up and they hadn't even started them. Get them home and they are both rotten. They were rotten. Left out to long. Never ever again. I want my $40.00 for the 2 turkeys.

Let me do you a favor. Something I wish someone would have done for me. Before you take anything to them find me on Facebook and message me. Happy to tell you about my experience, which was not good.

5+ months not ONE phone call from them; for start. Couldn’t find my meat for almost 45 min when I went to pick it up. Brought a once in a lifetime animal (moose) to them. Hind quarters, front quarters, rib and neck meat, back straps, everything. Got back less than 90 lbs of meat that may or may not be mine. Haven’t tried it but based on other reviews I’m skeptical. Not labeled, not organized…. and they did not instill any confidence having to go find it in their freezer. Again, sat there 45 min waiting. I’m shocked writing this even now.

They say new ownership, doesn’t mean a thing to me. Haven’t seen a change yet. If something does, I’ll happily update my review. But they won’t be getting any more of my business as it stands today and imagine there are many others with similar experience. There are plenty of good meat cutters, don’t risk this. Like I said. Message me. I wish someone would have for me. Ruined a once in a lifetime hunt for me.

Jensens meat just lost their FDA license and good thing too. Last year we spend a lot of time and energy giving them an immaculate cow elk only to receive 90% hamburger months later. All the meat was brown and smelly. Packaging is unlabeled and some of the packaging was already getting air in it. Will not be going there again.

We just don't write bad reviews. If we don't like a place, we tell them so and never go back. We also got spoiled meat back from our hogs. I don't think we got the amount we should have either. It all went into the garbage. Don't waste your time and money here. We believe the issue could be their refrigeration is not set cold enough to properly store and process the meat. How does a place like this ever pass state inspections?

The hamburger patties we got back were ROTTEN! They smelled so bad and the color was brownish green after they thawed and I opened the package. I took the patties back and the girl at the front told me she would “look” at them and give me a call back? She never did and so these are the reasons that Jensen’s Meats gets 1 star (I would give them no stars if that were an option). The owner was also there and he just looked at me with a blank stare on his face. A professional boss and manager would take care of the problem.
1. They let my cow’s meat rot and then sold it to me.
2. They don’t try to make things right
On top of the rotten meat the other meat wasn’t butchered properly in my opinion. I never received any filets which I specifically requested.

Purchased 1/2 beef from an acquaintance in Rupert 8/2020. They took it to Jensen Meats. It ended up taking more than a month and we ended up getting back 169 pounds as half of a 1200# steer. They deep froze it. We got it home and immediately found out that it was rotten. Stunk and slimy green color. We called and called and left VM multiple times. Finally took all the ground beef back to them and they were going to replace it. Now they take messages but don't return calls. They have never replaced the beef. Almost $1,000 blown down the drain. Completely dishonest and horrendous business practices. We will pursue them through the courts now after trying to work with them for a year.

I would like to update my review. It took almost seven months to resolve this issue with Jensen Meat but it has been resolved. They replaced our meat with good meat. They were very professional. The new office manager is very good to work with.

Had them pick up a pig on July 10 just got the meat back less than a week ago and the meat is rotten.

They were very nice to give me and my boys a tour of the facility when we dropped off our deer. One problem….6 months later, I haven’t gotten a call that our deer is ready. So many calls, most unanswered, some responses in FB Messenger. STILL NO MEAT. No clue where our buck went or who is enjoying it. I hate to give poor reviews for local business, and would be willing to amend this if I ever got a call…. Hint, hint.
