Great little shop to rent winter equipment like skis and snowboard. Cheaper than renting at Brundage. Friendly staff. Also have high end clothing and other stuff if you need it.

Tried to call to make an appointment for boot fittings for two days. The phone line was a busy signal. Went in and got laughed at that I had even come in to see if they could see me. The lady said it's not our fault which I totally understand. I've been coming to hometown for years and consistently am met with not nice people. I love this place and the things they offer but seriously am disappointed with the service.

Wanted to buy new ski boots today and ended up embarrassed and leaving the store. We have bought boots and skis, as well as other gear, over many years and for our family. I was trying to to stay out of the way and ended up near mens boots. Sorry! Kind of humiliating to get schooled in front of rich guy and sons. We may not ever enter your store again even though we always try to buy local. Humiliating.

Hometown is a great place for all your gear needs. Got the family outfitted for multiple years now and the seasonal ski gear lease program is great for my young kiddos as they keep growing. They have also been able to source me any pair of Stockli ski I have asked for so I really appreciate that!

The girl manning the front desk / phone on 12/27 is an absolute life saver.

I called looking for a boot liner, and a (very rude) man answered and said that they didn’t have anything like that and that liners couldn’t be purchased without a boot. I didn’t believe him, and called back 30 min later and the girl answered and confirmed that they had what I was looking for.

She was checking for things in stock, making recommendations, and holding things for me until another one of my family members could get there to pick it up. 10/10 service, she went out of her way many times to help me!

Got a pair of swim shorts that were the wrong size ($60 mind you) tried once for two seconds tag still on; the lady was incredibly rude and refused to even let me exchange when the pair was BRAND NEW and clean. The gentleman with the hat was very respectful tho but the woman was terrible refused to even talk with me about it really
