Update: Happy to report that the concerns, as outlined in my previous review, have been remedied in their entirety. Everyone is human and things get overlooked, but all is well that ends well. Updated my Tyler, the sales person who completed the bid was confident that they could manage all my flooring needs. I got a bid for the Stairs, landing and flooring on the entire bottom floor and two bathrooms of my home. The first part of the job was easy and I was very happy with how the flooring looked. There were some missing trim, some large gaps, and pieces of missing trim to complete but I was assured they would come complete that later when they came to finish the landing. Emailed back and forth and was told they could not complete the landing due to the curved staircase. Then I emailed about the stairs and was told they were ordering material. Then emailed a few additional times without a response. It’s been a year now and I am just hoping they agree to at least finish the trim pieces. Emailed about it and hopefully I will hear back. Only other issue is the trim they picked for the bathrooms was cheap cardboard like material, not water resistant and quickly became damaged and all needs to be replaced. Pictures of missing trim and damaged baseboards. If it’s a simple floor job they will probably do a fair job.

They did an over all good job. I was shocked they didn’t use vacuums with there tools leaving a great deal of dust. Which brings me to the other point, they didn’t cover anything, not even the couches, it’s just disrespectful. In addition, they didn’t cut 45 degree angles on the new trim for the inside corners. We paid a premium price, we expected a premium service. Overall, disappointing because the dust was shocking.

Had a very good experience and are happy with the high quality of the floor materials. New flooring and installation are expensive, so choosing this company assured us that their very good reputation was worth the choice. Every one involved were friendly and professional both by phone and in person. Randy the installer was on time and demonstrated a lot of care in moving furniture and clean up when finished.

My floor had damage. Floor Covering International came and did repair via my Insurance choice of vendor. The people including the worker are professional and nice. However, they are not good at floor repairs as they don't know how to plan out the repair work correctly. They install the floor and found there was a gap and have to take off the new floor and redo it again. When done, I was not happy with the job as you can see swirl marks, uneven stains, uneven sanding, and big blobs of clear coat that was not evenly distributed. On top of that they don't pay attention to details and hit their equipment damaging my cabinets, door frame, and under staircase wall paint. I met with the owner Toby and he took a look at the job and said it was "up to industry standards" but did offer a measly lowball payout to have me get another vendor to repair the work. However, I had an independent inspector came out and he has report confirming that the work was NOT up to standard results. Now, I'm in process of working with my insurance to see what they can do including Legal options and going to Oregon Construction Contractor Board to file complaints.

First let me say I've been a homeowner for 16 years and this is the most unprofessional business I've ever worked with. They didn't call me for 2 and a half weeks after my initial deposit. Which was 3K by the way. I actually had to call them to schedule my apt. Now I must say the floors turned out nice, however I never met the project manager. Never came out to take pictures of the finished product or introduce themselves. And on top of all this my refrigerator got damaged during the demo of my floors. Still waiting to hear back on getting that fixed and that was a week ago today. But of course right after the floors were finished they wanted the rest of the full payment. What a joke. You can definitely find a cheaper and more professional flooring company.

My experience with FCI was great. Jay the sales guy came out to my house to give me a quote on some carpet for my living room. He was very knowledgeable and Great, he wasn't pushy like he was trying to make a sale. If I had any other questions he was there to answer. He even came back to my house so I could take another look at the color I chose. Which I ended up changing. I'm very happy with what I got, Ryan the installer was great as well. Very friendly, he's been doing this job for 20+ years. I didn't feel like he was rushing through it, he did a great job laying my carpet..over all, very nice company to work with

Floor Coverings International did a great job on my flooring. They came out and gave a fair estimate to replace some damaged boards caused by flooding and completed the job within a few weeks. I am happy with the outcome, and it's nice to have my floors back to their original condition. Thanks so much!
