I cannot say enough great things about Designer Kitchens LA! We naturally trusted Jorge right away and had a positive gut feeling about working with him, which was spot on. He had a vision for our space and prepared a full design for our kitchen, bar and fireplace. He helped with all of the little touches and details that pull it altogether cohesively: like the lights, hardware, paint colors, appliance choices, and how the cabinets fit together with the stone. The outcome is even more stunning than we imagined. We also ordered custom vanities for our master bath, and he worked with our other contractors seamlessly. Ken and the installers were fantastic throughout the process, and we are extremely pleased. I’d recommend them to anyone.

We engaged Designer Kitchens earlier this year for what began as a major remodel of our kitchen. Before we were done, we installed new floors in our entire home, updated ceiling lights and painted several rooms.

The kitchen remodel required the removal of walls, updated electrical, new plumbing and upgraded appliances. Simon (owner/GC) and Jorge (Designer) were collaborative partners every step of the way.

Jorge is an “out of the box” thinker who offered creative ideas and worked closely with my wife to develop a clean and beautiful design. It surpassed our expectations. His attention to detail (down to cabinet handles) was impressive and he was always prompt returning texts/telephone calls.

Simon managed the projects personally and it was clear that the workers like Tigrun, Mischa and Ken had been with Simon for many years. The quality of their work was excellent, they were efficient/pleasant and cleaned up every day!

Jorge and Simon adapted to the changes and additions that we made along the way resulting in an outstanding finished product.

Designer Kitchens LA remodeled our kitchen. We needed a design driven firm to reinvent our midcentury modern space. All of DKLA's employees are excellent, especially Jorge Martinez for his beautiful and bold design. Our kitchen is spectacular and innovative. The owner, Simon, is very accommodating and responded to all issues that came up along the way, including a huge problem with our countertop that needed replacing. Though at times days passed and no one came by to work on the job. The subcontractors are problematic. The electrical company often sent different people and we're still living with flickering lights. The tile people have left us with a section of the floor with three different grout colors after three tries on their part. For some remaining issues, because the subcontractors didn't succeed, we'll have to hire different companies to finish small aspects of the job. Over all, very good.

Designer Kitchens LA is an amazing company and we were thrilled to work with them. We will only use this company and would only recommend this company to anyone doing a home renovation. Don't let Yelp ratings fool you. Yelp has a filter that blocks reviews from people who don't yelp a lot but of course allows competitors to post nasty false reviews. I'm an avid Yelp user and was referred to Designer Kitchens by past customers who were thrilled with Simon, the company owner and General Contractor. We interviewed 7 General Contractors and made a massive spreadsheet to compare the quotes from all 7. Simon came in right in the middle but more importantly than that he's a trustworthy, upstanding person you can rely on. My husband and I expected the best and we got it. Simon is incredibly professional, detail oriented, helpful and goes above and beyond. We've been working on our full home renovation for 6 months. Simon guided us through the process, helped us deal with our shady architect and structural engineer, caught mistakes and helped us through the city permit process. About halfway through the process we decided to hire Jorge, Simon's in-house designer. Jorge is incredible. He listened to our vision and guided us to make sure everything would come out just right. If it wasn't for Simon and Jorge I don't know how I would have made it through this house process since it sucks up so much time and energy. I will only use Simon and Jorge for any construction and design needs. I look forward to our next job because it was truly a pleasure. They became part of our family. If you're looking for a renovation, if you need a designer on the job, Designer Kitchens is the only place for you.
