We live in 4S Ranch and just used Classic Home Improvements to do a full renovation of our kitchen. We’ve lived in the house for 15 years and our kitchen was basically brown/Tuscan look, brown granite, etc. We wanted it upgraded to a more modern feel – white and grey scheme. We looked extensively at various options prior to selecting Classic (from high-end like Lars, to basically subcontracting the project out ourselves to try to save money). In the end we selected Classic, and now that the project is complete I feel compelled to write a review. In our minds, Classic is a perfect balance in terms of getting the highest quality product and service, but at a very fair price. The whole project took 7 weeks, and they stayed on time and on budget throughout. Every day they provide updates on the project via a website so you know exactly where things stand and what’s coming next. The first person we interacted with was their sales person Andrea Short who was terrific. She is extremely creative, has great taste, and has a good pulse on what people are doing right now with their kitchens. Gave us a lot of good ideas. The contract process was smooth and easy, renderings were accurate and came immediately after contract was signed. They were very flexible in terms of making adjustments. Once the work started we primarily integrated with the project manager Royce – he is very knowledgeable in construction, kept the crew on task, and was easy to reach (cell). Importantly, this is a very high integrity, trustworthy operation. EVERYONE who came into our home was pleasant, friendly, and professional. We felt perfectly comfortable giving leaving them alone and giving them full access to our home. They are meticulous about the details and won’t end the project until both they and client are satisfied that everything is perfect. We are glad we made the decision to hire Classic and highly recommend them.

CHI renovated the entire exterior of my house, replaced wood shakes with stucco and stone along with all new doors and decks(3 large decks). Tony was very good with helping me with design and colors which I have no eye for what colors go together. The foreman of the project, Neil, was awesome. When I first met him I thought he was little rough on the edges but once we started working together he was just awesome. When I saw something that didn't look right or I was sure how it would turn out Neil was patient and would tell me everything that was going to be done even though I asked multiple times. We had some issues the doors but Tony and Neil got the phone and managed to get things straightened out. There were a couple other hiccups that I mentioned to Neil, when this happened he got on the phone immediately to get thing worked out. Neil is does not gloss things over, if something goes wrong, he does anything he can to get it fixed. Neil was here just about everyday and when he wouldn't being coming he told me in advance and also let me know what to expect while he was gone. If you do business with CHI make sure Neil is assigned as your project manager.

I also have to mention Gilbert, he did the interior painting of the doors, replaced some drywall that was accidently damaged during tear out and had to recreate the trim around 1 door that went missing. He is phenomenal. He was able to match the current paint on the interior where drywall was replaced when I thought we'd have paint the entire room. He also was able to stain the new trim, which Neil was able to get the trim to match the 30 year old trim that is in the house, around the one door to match all the other trim in the house. I was truly amazed at what he did. If you have any interior wood work or dry wall that needs to be done make sure your get Gilbert.

Simply the best, a shining star in Socal. From the initial meeting with Gordie Guthrie super salesman and great guy to the final OK with Managers Dan White and Royce Rams Ramswick it was about as smooth as it could get. Kelly Walla does and absolutely superb job of helping you pick out everything, Kelly is a wizard with design. The star of the bunch is technician Kevin Kries, what an eye for detail this guy has, give Kevin a raise! Chandler is an up and coming amazing worker as well, there whenever you need him. Nicole Crocker and the office staff are great to work with too getting back to you almost immediately if you have a question or problem. Pergal; turned out perfect.

We are absolutely floored with the service that we received from Classic Home Improvements. From start to finish, they took care of every detail. They helped us modify our house from an embarrassment of a home, to one of beauty and functionality that we never realized that it could be could be. Throughout the process the team dealt with our ever-changing demands and addressed our every concern. We couldn’t be happier with the service we received.
Andrea, Kelly, Yvonne, Kevin, Shane, Stephanie, Joe, Chandler, and Royce the super star provided us with the best service we ever experienced. The crew was at our home on time every day. We enjoyed seeing a steady progress they made. Everyone was friendly, helpful and courteous. This made us comfortable with them being alone in our home. We have had our share of bad contractors, it was refreshing to work with an organization that puts their customers first.

Classic Home Improvements recently finished a complete renovation of our kitchen and hall bathroom. We are 100% satisfied. The whole experience from the original design by Andrea, through the CAD drawings by Dawn, the selection of the counters, cabinets, backsplash, lighting and flooring with Kelly, and the construction spearheaded by project manager Todd went easily, smoothly, and quickly. The subcontractors (Christian on cabinets, Luis on tiling, Kevin on electrical, Jim on plumbing) and all the CHI workers like Austin and David were so professional and easy to work with. Todd was a spectacular project manager, always keeping us updated on scheduling, and stopping by regularly to oversee the progress. We can recommend CHI 100% and will surely use them again for any future home improvements.

Neil Caton did a fantastic job again as the Project Manager. Neil and his team was on time and finished the project. Each time I contract with Classic Home Improvement it is always a wonderful experience. I have used Classic Home Improvement 3 times now. Each project is done with timeliness, professionalism and a great crew. Site is clean at the end of each day. Overall, a great contractor and always goes above and beyond to satisfy my needs. I call Classic Home Improvements first on any project and they are the ones that come in on budget and time.

I had exterior work done on my home by CHI. The workmanship by Santiago and his crew was outstanding. They replaced and repaired rotting trim around the windows, patched and repaired stucco, and painted.
Neil is a dependable and professional project manager. His personable manner was great to work with.
Tony has a keen eye as an estimator. His calm demeanor is a pleasure to be around for sometimes these experiences can be stressful.
The whole experience was smooth. I will go to them again if needed.

Our experience with Classic Home Improvement was tremendous on every level. This professional team took our 1985 kitchen and baths from terrible to absolutely beautiful. Each member of their team showed great professionalism and a strong commitment to delivering a top notch remodel. The company offers a daily project communication via group emails to recap work completed and the plans for the next day. If you are like we are and have heard countless horror stories of irresponsible contactors and subcontractor's, then you will appreciate this top level service company.

Our first encounter was with Andrea who visited our home and created excellent design options. Andrea listened carefully to our wishes and with her expertise guided us to a couple of great plans. That first encounter made us choose CHI with confidence. With the help of Madeline and Kelly, our first group meeting with 2 and 3 dimensional drawings was a big help in helping us visualize. Madeline was tremendous in creating the design that put all the elements of cabinetry, windows, tile and appliances together. She was patient and committed to insuring a great outcome when a few changes were required. Kelley is the designer who guided us in choosing all the flooring, tile , appliances and fixtures, well basically all the things that made our home reflect our personal style. They offer a well stocked showroom and also have connections to some of the best flooring and tile companies in San Diego. She is extremely talented and fun to work with, and also patient as we took forever to make our choices!

The second big part of the process was to implement all the plans. Shad was our project manager and we credit him with the excellent final outcome. He was at our home daily with his positive attitude, keeping track of progress and was clearly committed to our happiness with each phase of the remodel. CHI has employees doing most of the work. These workers were always conscientious, well trained and personable. Shad's great communication skills and commitment to making us happy was greatly appreciated.

The journey from beginning to end was a fantastic experience, from the planning to the implantation to the first rate employees.
