We hired Brianna midway through the construction of my orthodontic practice. We signed a design agreement with Brianna Michelle Design to do a floor plan and all the design components of a master suite. While unusual, we had to pay the full amount in advance. To start, we received a floor plan and a few pictures for design direction. There were things we liked, but also things we provided feedback on. After that, it became a real challenge to get a response. Repeat followups were eventually answered with excuses of being busy with other clients or busy training new employees.

Just when we thought we had finalized the floor plan, we received a surprise email from Brianna saying she was uncomfortable with the design direction and wanted to part ways.

After our builder talked to her, she said she would continue on our project. Literally weeks went by while we were waiting for her design ideas. Then we learned she had not been working on our project and was not going to. We received no official notice of terminating the agreement. It took over two agonizing months to get some (not all) of the money back for services not rendered (which was most of them).

At the beginning of the project, we were asked to provide pictures of things we liked. This was mostly ignored. And sharing our thoughts on her direction was not well received. If you want an honest designer who will collaborate and communicate with you, don’t go with Brianna Michelle Design. And whatever you do, don’t pay for everything up front. I wish we would have learned about another local acquaintance’s experience with Brianna before we got into this mess.

UPDATE: Brianna’s “COVID excuse” rings hollow. No mention of any capacity issues was made previously. Plus our project was not in a rush; had they said they needed to schedule for later we would have been open to it. (Glad they didn’t though as it turns out they’re unprofessional/dishonest).

You want someone classy as an interior designer right? Brianna Michelle Design (specifically Molly and Brianna) are not. After receiving my new home floor plan (which they asked for) they didn’t respond. No big deal, it happens and I am busy as well. When I called to schedule a meeting Molly promised to coordinate a time with Brianna. Still I heard nothing from her, so I called back the next day. Finally I get a cryptic message saying they don’t want the project with no reason given. They also wouldn’t explain when asked.
