If I could give Mark and Blue Desert Interiors more than 5 stars, I would. I absolutely would hire him again (and will) and would recommend him to anyone. After our first conversation, I knew that I wanted to work with him. He communicated with us through the entire process, gave updates, and delivered exactly as what was shown in our first design meeting. He listened to what we wanted for our kitchen remodel and asked questions. The material selection was easy because he listened so well in the initial meeting. We weren't overwhelmed with numerous choices. If we wanted to see more choices, he met us at the tile store to show us more options. He not only designs the space, but he also manages the trades (who show up on time), which made this entire renovation seamless and easy. His prices are very reasonable, and his timeline for the work to be completed was accurate. He was at our house regularly to make sure the trades knew exactly what to do. He also helped us find kitchen chairs and window coverings. Mark LaPalma and his team at Blue Desert Interiors came highly recommended to me from a friend and I am thrilled with the job they did remodeling our master bathroom and bedroom as well as another full bathroom in our home. Neither my husband nor I feel very comfortable with our ability to pick out materials that complement each other. We truly laid our entire trust in Mark and his team. They listened to every detail we wanted, made numerous trips to measure the area and came up with a truly beautiful design concept. Of course that is only half the battle and as wonderful as the design process was, the precision of the execution of that plan was on point. Mark laid out a grid that showed us every step of the process and which contractors we could expect on which days. If we weren't home either Mark or one of the team would be there to let them in. We were kept informed of any possible delays and our project was completed on time and on budget! Our project came out more beautiful than I could ever have imagined thanks to Mark and I would not hesitate to use him again for any project and highly recommend him!

My husband and I engaged Mark LaPalma at Blue Desert Interiors to help us both the redesign and furnishing of an urban apartment we were moving into. Mark’s help was invaluable to us with the result being an apartment that feels like home and meets all our need as well as being visually striking. We drew on a wide range of talents that Mark has from creating architectural plans for the apartment to assisting in the selection of the furniture as well as its placement. My husband and I really wanted to upgrade our master bath from what the builder installed, cookie cutter style, to the new trends with grey and white color scheme. We have put it off for 3 years afraid of all the choices, the process and just feeling lost trying to get started. We were introduced to Mark at Blue Desert Interiors and knew right away he could ease the questions and pain of trying to decide on style, tiles, and fixtures. Hiring Mark made the design and selection process so much easier on us and I was not stressed trying to decide what goes together or not. After meeting with us, he knew that it was best to give me only a few options of the layout, tiles and fixtures so that we could pick the best options from a smaller selection. It was great because I knew he had already done all the hard work getting those options to look the best for us to select.

We were so nervous because it is hard for us to picture the final product but Mark has this wonderful 3D software modelling that was able to show us how it would all look together before we started the project. The final outcome also looked exactly as he had envisioned and is beautiful! We love the bathroom tiles, the design of the shower, the vanity with large mirrors and more.

Mark was always available anytime we had questions throughout the whole project and quickly fixed any issues during the remodeling. He is very pleasant to work with and checked to make sure everything was correct throughout the project. We highly recommend Mark at Blue Desert Interiors as an experienced professional on any interior remodel!

We have felt very fortunate to find Mark. He helped us fully furnish a Scottsdale 70’s townhome (great taste; kept costs down as we requested) and transform the master bath from a dark hole into a beautiful and beautifully functional bath. In addition, he made suggestions for smaller modifications that really updated the whole unit. Our true appreciation of Mark came when he discovered a huge water disaster in the house (he just decided to check in on the house after a lot of rain….!). As we live on the other side of the country, he took over management of the remediation (which kept snowballing, of course) and worked directly with the insurance adjuster. We felt so grateful for his efforts – we could not have done this ourselves. All of the companies he brought into to work on our house were fantastic and there were no delays. He really connects with his clients and is an excellent communicator. He is our “go to” guy for any project and he always responds to our call. We highly recommend Mark without any hesitation

We purchased a home with Southwest style, and hired Mark to transform it into cool and contemporary. This is our second home, so we were starting from scratch, and needed it to be ready when we returned in four months. With very little direction from us (other than a list of "don'ts"), Mark cooled down the warm structural elements with complementary clean and sophisticated furnishings. He presented an overall scheme for each room, and several choices for individual pieces. His detailed knowledge of audio and visual media enabled our space to be technologically current and flexible. It was very easy to work together remotely, and Mark had the house substantially complete when we returned, including all the little finishing details. He respected the budget, and was always upbeat and patient with us non-creative types. We love our new space, his choices of colors and textures lend it just the right balance of temperature and visual interest. We highly recommend Mark as an efficient, experienced professional.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mark over 10 years ago when we lived in Chandler and wanted to do make our home more contemporary. We found Mark and Blue Desert on line and were thrilled with the entire process. Needless to say, when we relocated to our new place in Scottsdale, we enlisted Marks help and from the get go, created a wonderful warm space we called home for a number of years. When I then recently bought my new home, a flip, I again enlisted Marks help and due to some crazy circumstances, I found myself redoing the entire kitchen and master bath. Mark was the guiding light through the entire process. We created a very modern look and to say that I love my house now more than ever is an understatement. We are now embarking on a bit of an expansion on the house, and I of course turned to Mark and his expertise to guide this process and I know it will be amazing. I can say one of the best complements to pay anyone is a sincere recommendation, and I have referred Mark to a few friends and would do so any day of the week. We worked with Mark to completely renovate our master bathroom and guest bath. He is an excellent designer, who uses the latest in technology and materials to accomplish a beautiful, functional end result. We found him to be a good listener who could take our half-formed ideas and translate them into workable concepts and final designs. He coordinated and scheduled all the subcontractors and kept the project on track for a completion by our desired deadline.
