My wife and I knew our project (total kitchen remodel & addition!) was ambitious and would require the right design consultants. From the moment we had our first consultation with Kristen and Oscar, we knew we had made the right choice. I started with the Benavides design team in September 2022. We spent the first year together designing a complete renovation of my lake home. The design team came up with three variations and I ultimately choose one. Despite the fact that I had lived in the home for more than 10 years and had strong opinions on what needed to be changed, the design team came up with ideas of which I had never thought.

Once a final design was in place, I went with the design team to choose all materials -- kitchen appliances, hardwood floors, chandeliers, bathroom fixtures, etc. That way, when general contractors (GC) gave me estimates for the projects, allowances were not permitted in the bid. The design team also helped me choose the GC for the job, which took six months. Taking my budget into account, the design team also helped me choose furniture for my new rooms.

It is the two year mark, and I'm now living in my dream home. Oscar and Kristen and their team are experts in their field and an absolute pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them.

From the moment I met them, they were responsive and kind. They helped with everything from picking out tile and cabinetry down to hardware and paint colors. They eliminated any and all stress. From start to finish, the Benavides team was excellent! We renovated our whole first floor which included additions and even a new basement. They provided amazing design suggestions as well as a 3D rendering to help us see their vision. They helped pick out all the components and finishes and we couldn't be happier with the final product. Logistically, Kristen and Oscar helped connect me with multiple contractors for estimates, accompanied me to vendors to help with materials selection, and created beautiful 3D mock-ups when I couldn't make up my mind and I needed to see every possible variation. Kristen also acted as the coordinator between subcontractors and vendors for me as I was not
available for most of the work day. I felt such gratitude for her experience and expertise throughout the entire project.

I can't recommend Kristen highly enough. Thank you for my beautiful bathroom and primary bedroom, Kristen, they bring me joy every time I walk into them!

I once thought that I was pretty good at interior design. Guess what, I'm not! I got smart and enlisted Kristen's help. Boy, did she deliver! After precise measurements, she presented a floor plan and design for my living room. She suggested several types of pieces in varying budgets for me to consider. Thanks to her expertise, my living room now has the "WOW!" factor I was looking for. It looks like it's straight out of a magazine - gorgeous. My family and friends keep telling me how amazing it looks. I'm so happy!

It was such a pleasure to work with Oscar and Kristen! We reached out to them in the very early stages of planning for 2 different projects in our home: to re-envision the exterior facade of our home to include an extra window and a portico, and to convert a screened in porch to a sunroom. Kristen was always very fast to respond, polite and kind. Oscar met with us on several occasions to walk through our home to hear our initial wishes and to then walk through the spaces with us and a contractor to fine tune our design options and his plans for the spaces. Oscar was extremely knowledgeable of construction requirements necessary to transform these spaces in our home. We appreciated his patience and flexibility as we sometimes changed our minds during the design process. The visual renderings they provided were beautiful as well as helpful for my husband who often needs to see something to envision the end product.
