I've worked with Base Camp Design on several projects and each time it has been an amazing experience!

Kate & Carolyn took the time to understand my preferences, lifestyle, and budget before moving forward with each stage. The color palettes, furniture selection, and unique design elements they suggested were perfect, creating a space that feels inviting, while being very practical and easy to live in, which is super important for me.

I was most impressed with how the team took my style and worked with it. I've seen many of their other projects and each one reflects the style of the client, while improving on and elevating it.

I highly recommend Base Camp Desing to anyone looking for a little (or a lot of) handholding during the building or remodeling process!

Wow folks we love our new home that Kate and her team designed from the top to bottom. Not only the Main house but our Boathouse and Bungalow on the property look like they belong together on our property. The details that are needed to complete a project like this was no small task but to Base Camp Design it seemed as though they definitely had done this before. From the Contractor to the entry way matts were taken care of. This property is now beyond our dreams with a beautiful Chefs kitchen for my beautiful wife to bunk beds for my grandchildren. This place is a show stopper done by Kate and Base Camp Design.

Our 3 year journey with Base Camp Design recently came to an end as we completed an addition as well as a full remodel of our dream home.
In hindsight, my husband and I had no idea just how big of an undertaking we were about to dive into, and I am ever so thankful that we hired BCD.
During the early stages of the project Kate spent countless hours getting to know us personally as well as listening to us describe how we envisioned our home to look and feel.
As we began the construction process, she dedicated hours on site to ensure that no detail was overlooked. We recently used Kate and her team to remodel our ski cabin at Schweitzer Mtn. She took our outdated ski cabin and turned it into a fresh, bright and modern retreat that we love. Her team’s creativity and their close working relationships with other local professionals ensured the final product exceeded all of our expectations. I can’t say enough about Kate and her design team. Kate helped guide us through a major build on Lake Pend Oreille. She took into consideration our aesthetic and helped us choose materials and furnishings that completed our vision, a tough assignment given the disparity between my taste and my husband’s. When we had difficulty finding furnishings, she worked with us and local artisans to create custom furnishings for our home. As with any build, we had some design obstacles, but Kate helped alleviate the issues in beautiful, creative ways and helped “talk us off the ledge” a few times . The Base Camp Design team is always so responsive and communication is very open and positive. It is a pleasure to work with Kate and the Base Camp Team and we look forward to continuing to work with them in the future.
