Went looking for sofas there, as my mother has many pieces from Ballard currently in her home. We were in the store for well over 10 mins before we were greeted, and even then it was just a quick "Welcome in." There were two women seated at computers in the center of the store, and we spent a lot of time in that general vicinity, including walking past where they were sitting to get to the opposite side of the store. We continued to try seating around the store, but made our way back to the middle of the store where my mom was showing me a style of dining chair she has. At that point we noticed that both women seated in the middle acknowledged two gentlemen who had come in, and one of the ladies even got out of her seat to greet them. These ladies had not even looked in our direction the entire time we were in the store. We were the only Black customers in the store at the time, and not being acknowledged seemed like an intentional slight, so at that point we decided to leave. As we were walking out the door, THAT was the moment when one of the women asked if we needed help.

I have worked in retail for many years. I understand that team members can get busy working on things for clients- especially when design services might be involved. But the customer who is in the store is who you should be focused on. And if either of those ladies had glanced up from their computers and said, "Let us know if you have any questions" that would've been a far better experience. If it weren't for the fact that my mom has purchased from Ballard previously, I would encourage her not to shop with them at all. But I'm sure she won't be doing business at this location anymore.

I visited the store based on a friend's recommendation for good customer service. I needed help furnishing my new home, but the designer, Amy, from the Tyson's location seemed uninterested. Despite sending my floor plans and following up multiple times via email and phone, I never got a response. Poor service—very disappointing!!!

I detest this store. I don’t like furniture stores in general and am not currently looking, but I might be very soon and Still wouldn’t consider buying this place. Everything they have is either ugly or Boring, the people working there range from inattentive to pushy with practically no in between and it radiates a vibe that I find obnoxious. I have walked through this store multiple times out of curiosity or because I was dragged in by someone else and have never seen anything I liked. In fact the people who dragged me in there hated it too. Don’t waste your time here unless you see something you vibe with, and even then keep in mind that there’s reviews from people who actually bought from them saying that the delivery process or something was a nightmare.

This is ONLINE ORDER. Not store. People at the store were lovely to deal with.
I ordered a desk online. Had In Home delivery. The carrier Ballard uses is JB Hunt Final Mile located in Fairfax, Va. They emailed to set schedule and we had a day and time between 9-12 am. JB Hunt has their drivers call 25-30 min. before delivery. By 11 am no call. I call JB Hunt Customer service they say driver will be calling momentarily. 11:30 no call. I call again. They say driver is behind schedule and will arrive at 1. Great, because I have an appointment between 12-1245.
On my way out, their driver calls (11:54) says "on my way". I tell him I am not back till 1245 and he was supposed to arrive at 1.
His communications skills were lacking. Did NOT understand and ended up hanging up on me! 5 Min later he calls again and says the same thing. I say, no 1 and he says 1 Ok. and hangs up again on me.
By 130 no call. I call JB Hunt and they tell me he came at 1222. Not in the window and not what THEY had told me. I ask for a manager. ZACH (wouldn't tell me his last name) gets on and tells me I am wrong about the time even though his company told me the later time. I tell him he should hire drivers who can speak English if they are dealing with the public and how I was hung up on twice.
At this point I feel like maybe I should call Ballard since THEY are the ones I purchased my desk from. I get a very nice supervisor who apologizes profusely and says she will call JB Hunt to resolve.
HERES WHERE IT GETS CRAZY...
She calls me back and says the driver from JB Hunt says I called him a racial slur!!! What!!!! And he is afraid to come back to deliver my desk. I am a 54 year old woman... WOW.
I am so upset by this that i have to take a couple hours to try and collect myself. I call the Ballard customer service agent back and tell her although she has been extremely nice, I will need to speak to her manager because I am NOT OK WITH this type of SLANDER. I would like this escalated.
Today it has been a week since I was supposed to have a manager call me. NO CALL. NO DESK.
Ballard, you and your team should be ashamed of your customer service. Also ,for such a high end company you should maybe research better delivery venders with better ratings. JB HUNT has a 2.7/5!!

2.5 stars. Large, spacious store with an expensive, impressive selection. Customer service came across as stuffy and slightly arrogant and skeptical.

a bench ordered on March 18 for May 15 delivery (approx 8 week) was postponed to a July 10 delivery. then conflicting email information was sent that the order was cancelled. a simple couch should not take 5 months to deliver. Nice people in store but I would not recommend this company to anyone

To be fair, i found it very similar to pottery barn store. I liked it tho, i was greeted as soon as I came .

Rude workers at the store. Don't buy anything from this store. You can find same items online, thousands cheaper.

Laura was your store representative and she was so nasty and rude. There were no customers in the store and she managed to repel (me) the one customer from the store. Good Luck staying in business with sales people like Laura working for this company. I see it's a trend on reviews to have bad customer service at Ballards.
