Spent Over $50,000 – Countless Mistakes, Unprofessional Behavior from Mike, and No Response from Management

I have spent over $50,000 with Badger Supply, purchasing building supplies, lumber, brackets, pole barns, buildings, and siding. Despite being a loyal customer and placing multiple high-value orders, my experience with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare.

Unprofessional and Disrespectful Behavior from Mike

The most infuriating aspect of dealing with Badger Supply was the outright disrespect and unprofessionalism from Mike. His behavior was consistently condescending, dismissive, and downright rude. During one of my calls, I could clearly hear him in the background mocking my order, saying, “What does he want? Is he ordering his metal now?” in a tone that was both disrespectful and uncalled for.

When he finally got on the phone, he was aggressive, confrontational, and even started cussing. His behavior was completely inappropriate for someone in a customer-facing role. The lack of professionalism was shocking, especially considering the amount of money I was spending.

Mike’s behavior was entirely unacceptable, and his attitude is a poor representation of Badger Supply. His condescending tone and aggressive demeanor made every interaction frustrating and unpleasant.

Multiple Mistakes and Lack of Accountability

Every time I called to place an order, I had to go through the front desk instead of being able to reach someone directly—even though I was consistently ordering $10,000+ worth of materials. This inefficient process was just the beginning of the many frustrations I encountered.

During one of my orders, Mike made an $8,000 mistake and didn’t bother to notify me. He just expected me to pay for his error. I had to catch the mistake myself and bring it to his attention, almost like explaining it to a child. Only then did he reluctantly correct it, without any apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience it caused me.

On top of that, I received the wrong per columns for the timber I ordered, causing unnecessary delays and additional expenses for my project. Not once did anyone take responsibility for these mistakes or offer any form of compensation or discount for the repeated errors.

No Response from Management

After dealing with countless mistakes and unprofessional behavior, I reached out to the store manager, Tim Bales, via email, hoping to get some resolution. However, Tim never bothered to respond. Not even a courtesy acknowledgment of my email. This level of customer neglect is absolutely unacceptable, especially from a manager.

The lack of accountability and complete disregard for customer concerns from both Mike and Tim was disappointing, to say the least. It’s clear that Badger Supply does not prioritize customer service or satisfaction.

Never Again

I have spent over $50,000 with Badger Supply, and they have shown me that they do not value their customers. From the countless mistakes, the unprofessional behavior from Mike, and the complete lack of response from Tim Bales, this company has proven that customer service is not a priority.

If you’re looking for building supply, lumber, brackets, pole barns, buildings, or siding, I highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. There are plenty of companies out there that provide better service and actually value their customers.

I will never do business with Badger Supply again.

Badger building center has been my source for all building supplies for years now. Tim, Mike, Tony, and the whole team at Post Falls are extremely helpful, attentive and good at what they do.
I’ve used them for my manufacture home installation materials, shop, several decks, sheet metal and the odd pieces I need for custom jobs around the farm.

Generally good service and good quality building supplies at a reasonable price. A special call out to the fellow that was able to give me overall cost on the itemized list I gave him. I believe his first name was Tim. Constructed the purchase order in a very efficient and knowledgeable manner. A real pro.
Only one minor altercation with a rude counterman who informed me that "This does nothing for me" when I presented him with Badger Building Center document to pick up some additional building supplies.
Overall I would highly recommend this business.

Toni was amazing in guiding our decisions for the new shop. He was honest and methodical with every step. He even called me late one day to let me know he was able to save us some money on lumber. The shop package was delivered promptly and undamaged. It was a very comprehensive package that did not require any extra purchases of material. We will be back for future projects for sure.
