Great product, not so great communication.

The good: the tent is really, really great quality. We borrowed a different one for a few trips before we got our 4x4 and there is a noticeable difference. The layout and design makes sense. The material feels sturdy and weather proof. Aesthetically pleasing, tough, and comfy. I would recommend this tent to anyone but with a disclaimer. 5/5 for quality of product.

The bad: We waited nearly 3 months for this tent and lost an entire summer of camping. We ordered the tent in mid May with a verbal time of arrival of mid June from one of the owners. We reserved camp sites, bought new camp gear, etc. Mid June comes and goes- no tent. Long story short the next two months consisted of us calling them asking for updates with new dates each time we called. We finally got our tent first week of August. I’m mainly disappointed because there was no communication coming from their end. There’s no tracking info so you have no idea when this thing will arrive. We saved for a long time to splurge on a tent and it’s hard not to have anxiety when you have no clue what’s going on with your purchase/money.
I also don’t think we would’ve purchased from them had we known the wait was going to be 12 weeks since we were eager to enjoy the summer. They also did nothing to make up for the poor service and communication. 1/5 for communication.

Summary. Get the tent— but expect to wait a very long time.

The crew at 4x4 Colorado did a fantastic job installing the additional back up lights on my wife’s Bronco. We were informed of the entire process, every question was answered thoroughly, and best of all, they were very fast. I 100% recommend checking them out.

Amazing quality tent and great customer service. The Nimbus was the perfect match for our FJ. So happy with our purchase. Everyone at the shop was super friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Best of all they were able to get us in last minute to install our new roof rack with light bar(all wired up) and our new Nimbus RTT as we were about to leave the area. Devin and Matt were a great team! Came with clean work, a helpful demo and some great FJ tips! Can’t wait to put this new setup to good use. Thanks for the great work guys! Will definitely recommend.

We purchased a RTT from 4x4 Colorado. The tent is very high quality and suites our needs perfectly. The process getting the tent was a bit bumpy but now that we have it we love it.

As far as customer service goes Ethan has been great with sharing information and tips about their products. He gave me a lot of insight into their diesel heater which will be the next purchase we make.

This is our second RTT but our first 4x4 Colorado tent and I highly recommend this tent. It's not too big on the 4Runner and looks great. Ordered an Alto Elite in November. Tent is pretty good quality. Used it for winter camping in January in the mountains of Idaho. The diesel heater port is honestly what sold me on this tent. Way more convenient that rigging it into a window. Only reason for not giving a 5 star rating is I ordered it with a roof rack, and still 7 months later have not received the rack. I use it primarily for flyfishing trips, its kind of hard to mount my rod holders on it without the rack.Tent is good, customer service, not so much.

Did receive the roof rack and it installed great. After a spring and summer of use found just a couple things that were sub par. One being the main zipper holding the tent to the base came undone due to there not being an actual stop on the zipper. Spent a half hour manually rezipping about 30" of zipper and gorilla tape to keep it on the track until a better solution is found. I also found that after a couple weeks of non use, it gets very wet inside. Not sure if it's leaking around the gasket or it's heavy condensation. If it's condensation, it's very extreme. Again, I still think it's a great tent, just wanted to point out a couple things they maybe need to look at and give an honest review. Still would buy again ?
